Product Details & Specifications
Is your transit fleet experiencing widespread failures, specifically with the Natural Gas, Cummins ISL-G engine?

You are definitely not alone. We have heard from hundreds of customers in your shoes. Private owners, bus garages, waste management companies, municipalities. They're all coming to us and describing the same exact abnormal engine-wear issues. An alarming number of properly-maintained engines, produced as recently as 2010-2016, are now catastrophically failing. What starts as a smoking engine quickly turns into a hole burned straight through the side of a piston with no rhyme or reason as to why or which cylinders are affected. We're told that the dealer is unfortunately sweeping the issue under the rug and are recommending complete engine replacements in these instances. To date, we haven't heard of a single warranty honored, even though we alone have heard from a countless amount of customers with the same exact problem. Our guess is that this is a miniscule fraction of the actual number of failures. To combat the issue, your dealer might make you aware that there is now a set of new and improved steel pistons available for your engine, even though, "Nothing was wrong with their original design." We find this very interesting and frankly, bothersome.

Here's a list of possible contributing issues our customers have received from the dealer, regarding their failures:
Low quality fuel (Low methane content)
Intake Leak.
Vacuum Leak.
EGR Valve issue.
EGR Cooler clogged.
ECM not calibrated properly.
Engine running too lean.
Timing Issue.
Inadequate internal fuel distribution

With all of this said, we are proud to announce that we have the fix! We've put our engineering team to the task and they have built this engine several times, trying their hardest to blow it up, under every type of load and condition. All sorts of components were used. Starting with OE pistons straight from the dealer, followed by several designs of prototype pistons, that were produced in -house. These running engines were analyzed in every way. We pushed them harder than anyone ever would in a real-life scenario. A great deal of data was collected and we feed confident that we have put our finger on the issues. Flaws were found and corrections have been made. Among other things, our greatest improvements to the faulty OE design are a FORGED STEEL PISTON (both, crown and skirt) along with a graphite skirt coating to greatly improve scuff resistance within your cylinders. The original factory piston cooling jets have been revamped. We feel confident that ours will provide better and more direct cooling capabilities. Our head gaskets have been specifically re-designed for use in these Natural Gas engines, which run at significantly higher temperatures. They feature compounds and components that will not prematurely fail or deteriorate through time, like the original design.
