Product Details & Specifications
If you are looking to seriously boost the power of your Caterpillar C15 ACERT engine or eliminate one of your turbos, you're in the right place! Allow this engine rebuild kit be the foundation of your project. Since it's release to the public, the PAI Brand Caterpillar C15 ACERT Low Compression Conversion Kit has been the industry standard in effectively reducing the engine's piston compression ratio from 18.2:1 down to 16:1.
Countless customers have experienced great success over the past few years installing this particular kit. Please understand though, additional modification will be required to properly reduce your engine's compression. In the least, your Engine Control Module (ECM) will need to be re-tuned. Depending on your particular application, the possibility exists that different Air or Fuel related parts may be needed as well. We recommend discussing this project in depth with your builder or tuner to see what may be required for your specific application.
This engine rebuild kit contains single piece, welded steel design piston number 3466615. It was designed to be used by those who are converting from a twin turbo setup down to a single turbo, as well as those who plan to keep both turbos and build a higher horsepower engine.
The cylinder liners packaged with this kit carry PAI's patented upper cooling-groove technology. These cooling grooves help reduce cylinder temperatures. The liners also utilize a crevice seal design, which ensures that they are held firmly in place for years to come. These two features have been tested and proven to be remarkable upgrades to the original Caterpillar design. They will improve the quality of your build and, ultimately, the longevity of your engine.
Since the installation of these parts requires custom tuning and was designed for high horsepower applications, there is no warranty offered.
This engine kit is available in two different Performance Levels.
- Our Standard Performance Inframe Kit will contain high quality components that meet or exceed OE Caterpillar quality standards across the board.
- Our High Performance Inframe Kit is offered as an added advantage to our customers who are looking to raise the bar. This kit was specifically designed with performance and longevity in mind. The components included were designed and rigorously tested to provide several benefits to the original OE design. You can expect a greatly reduced amount of internal engine friction, increased strength, wear resistance, and temperature stability. Basically you are proving your engine with stronger parts, better fuel economy, longer engine life. If you are turning up the power to your engine, this is the internal structure you want!
